ADVANCEMENT OFFICE The Director of Advancement has the responsibility to establish the academy as an important, active and contributing member of our community. The Advancement Office is mandated to increase supportive interaction among all those concerned with the Academy and to strengthen the Academy’s financial situation. The Director of Advancement, therefore, acts as liaison between the Academy and the Foundation while at the same time coordinating annual events such as the Academy’s Open House, convocation ceremonies, and fundraising events along with the Parents’ and Alumnae Associations, and helps with the Science Fair and various other community-sponsored assemblies. The Advancement Office also oversees the production of the Academy’s promotional brochures and manages its publicity needs. Margaret Buzas has been Director of Advancement at the Academy since 1989. She has a daughter who is an alumna of the Academy and is herself a proud graduate of Queen of Angels. Tradition and caring are important aspects of Margaret's personal and professional life. As liaison between the Academy and the Foundation, she devotes a large part of her energy to ensuring that the Foundation continues to provide much needed funds for the continued education of young women today.
